Transcript Making a Difference Engineering World Health Engineering World Health (EWH) is an organization whose sole purpose is to benefit disadvantaged areas in the world by supplying medical equipment. This is the second year the organization has been at the University of Houston. Membership of the UH-chapter consists of a variety of engineering majors, but the organization is open to anyone interested in improving world health. The main source of contribution the UH EWH chapter makes to society is through its volunteering. Every month, student members volunteer at Medical Bridges under the supervision of Dr. Eric Orzeck. During this time, volunteers work on a range of donated medical equipment. Properly working equipment is then shipped to hospitals in underdeveloped countries. Story by Kristin Reddoch Starting the Day Panteha Rezaee and Mustafa El Zarif begin the day by by unwrapping medical lights. 99
