How across the nation social networking web sites had replaced students' desire to record a communal memory of their college years in the pages of a book. I want to thank the members of the 2010 Houstonian staff who, in the face of student apathy and plummeting yearbook sales, recorded a slice of UH history and convinced us that the yearbook was not a dying art. The photographers who each day for a year observed and carefully captured the University and its people. Production Director Lana Flores who gave the 75th edition of the Houstonian its singular design. Houstonian Adviser Matt Dulin who gave me the job, and his unwavering support on the project. Student Publications Director Dick Cigler who always assured us there was a light at the end of the 304-page tunnel we found ourselves in. Readers, I hope when looking through these pages you can imagine yourself back in this time, in this place. Additional thanks to ...
