In planning events for the semester, organizations tr\ to plan events that will appeal to their members needs, complete community service, and entertain their members. The Hispanic Business Student Association planned a blood drive to benefit the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. \n\ student who met the requirements and was interested in donating blood could participate. Students interested had to answer a series of questions including their blood type, their current health condition, and the last time they traveled outside the counlrv. The Association for Women in Communication (AWC) hosted a Bowling Social for all members so they could get to know each other. AWC brings in guest speakers in the field of communications during nionthlv meetings.The organization promotes networking among students and professionals. The Bauer Business Honors Program celebrated its fifth anniversary early in the Fall 2007 semester. The celebration included a speech from Honors College Dean led Estess and a reception with cake and punch that followed. All Business Honors Program students were invited to attend this business formal affair.
