Transcript Houston 21 Baylor 21 The Cougars marched into Baylor riding high after their 48-3 win over Lamar. Baylor, however, was more prepared to play, scoring on their opening possession, and then driving a total of 41 yards for two more scores following UH turnovers. Trailing by three touchdowns, the Coogs were able to score to close within 21-7 at the half. In the third quarter, Allen Rice of Baylor fumbled near the UH goal line and T.J. Turner came up with the ball on a play violently disputed by the Bears. UH finally began to roll in the fourth period, punching in an early TD and then catching fire late in the game. Houston had the ball with 2:26 remaining and quarterback Lionel Wilson moved the offense 64 yards in only 4 plays to tie the game at 21. Baylor's last gasp field goal was blocked by T. J. Turner. Besides Turner, several other players turned in noteworthy performances: Dallas Wiggins rushed for 124 yards and 2 TDs, Weedy Harris made 21 tackles, 14 of which were unassisted, Lionel Wilson passed for over 200 yards, tying a UH consecutive game record and David Roberson caught 9 passes, the second best total in Houston history. 166
