Transcript The "Asociacion de Estudiantes Venezolanos" (AEV) is an association made up of Venezuelan students, most of whom attend the University of Houston. Founded in 1987, the association's aim is to provide assistance and support for Venezuelan students attending area schools. In addition, the association works to promote the customs and culture of Venezuela. Membership is presently open to anyone who wishes to cultivate new friendships and encourage cultural activities. In the past years AEV has been involved in several University- SUPPORT Venezuelans help each other ages from over twenty countries are prepared and available to the general public. It is sponsored by the International Student Organization and funded by the Council of Ethnic Organizations. AEV also participates in Latin Night, where various Latin countries perform, sing, and dance to their native folk music. AEV hopes students enjoy this display of native Venezuelan arts and crafts, and encourage comments or suggestions concerning future events. ► Lillah Bezara sponsored events. Every semester, members of the association contrib ute to the now famous Food Fair, where traditional food and bever- AEV members include: Nestor Fajardo, Reinaldo Jiminez, Lillah Bezara, Andres Reiner, Maria Carolina Fajardo; Paolo Ferrato, Melissa Nick, Javier Gordo, Yaritza Reyes, Pura Santagelo, Ernesto Garcia, Javier Gordo, Carlos Morales, Matt Holmes, Rosa Jimenez, Reinaldo Jiminez, Lillah Bezara, Patricia Gentry; Soraya Casanova, Sandra Casanova, Paola Ferrato, Yaritza Reyes, Claudia Melo, and Pu Santagelo.
