Transcript Giant step towards building in space An honarary professorship was bestowed upon Ryoichi Saskawa, the Japanese philanthropist who donated $3 million to the Univeristy of Houston's Center for Experimental Architecture. Saskawa ac cepted the honor during his first visit to the university in fall, 1988. The Center was renamed the Saskawa International Center for Space Archhitecture (SICSA) in 1987, in honor of the gra cious endowment.
