Transcript NG Organizations, joyetta d. johnson, editor Representatives of many groups and concerned seniors listen to University Regent John Moores at the Senior Challenge meeting. The meeting, sponsored by the Student Foundation encouraged seniors to donate to the university. Photo by Michael W. Smith II. POINT Getting involved. For a university like Houston, it's sometimes hard to believe that anyone gets together at all, yet the university boasts over two-hundred student orginizations. Diverse groups like the Afro- Cuban Percussion Ensemble and the Society for Creative Anacronism exist, and thrive under the university's umbrella. It is the student that doesn't get involved, the student that misses the university experience while he or she is here that misses the most. Students that close themselves off from the experiences that could enrich their lives and help them make connections that will last a lifetime, these are the students who miss the point. They miss what college is all about. -Candy Jessop Ir You Miogcd It Ti ic Igl Time U
