Transcript Professor Profile Dr. Richard Kasschau What do you get out of teaching? It's challenging. You never know from day to day what challenges you will get in the classroom. Teaching is the love of my life. What is the best thing about teaching at UH? Diversity. I like teaching at UH because of the vast variety of people and the diversity of the student body. There are limits in the world when there is no diversity. Why teach psychology? I first entered the University or Rochester as an engineering major because of my father, but it required I take mechanical drawing and I have shaky hands. I chose psychology in my senior year and psychology is a field where knowledge is small, because we're still learning about ourselves. What side are you on in the Athletics or Academics debate? Part of the total experience of college is athletics. The only thing wrong with athletics is the amount of financial aid given to athletes. But they work just as hard at academics as other students.
