Transcript Everyone's Sport Intramurals allowed the weekend warrior in all of us to come out. The competition on the intramural field was often as fierce and exciting as those in the NCAA. While the focus of intramurals was friendly competition and sportsmanship, the typical intramural athlete was out there to win. Intramurals offered a chance for any student, alumni, professor or staff member to get out there and show their athletic ability. Although flag football, basketball and softball remained the major intramural seasons, many sports were offered including tennis, bowling, volleyball, golf, swimming, badminton and even water polo. Architecture senior, Chris Stone, said that "intramurals allowed me to get outside and enjoy leisure time away from his studies. Plus I enjoy that added thrill of competition and victo- Intramurals was designed for the average student to participate in sporting events for fun. The most active participants in the in- tramural program was the Greeks. The intramural program allowed them to compete against each other in various sports event. Intramurals also helped in strengthing the Greek community. The intramurals program offered something for everyone at UH.
