Xanya Denning, Leslie Heintz, Erin ' Chambers and Davia Wise strut their stuff at the Homecoming Pep Rally. Chi Omega successfully captured the Young Alumni Spirit award and the Homecoming Sweepstakes for the second straight year. Photo by Tony Bullard. Dedication Required Since 1895, Chi Omega has grown to be the largest national fraternity for women. Locally the Psi Zeta pter of Chi Omega has been at the University of Houston since 1956. Chi Omega's were very active as they participated in several campus activities. These included UH Ambassadors, Orientation team guides, hotel & restaurant recruiters, Student Programming Board and the Student's Association. Greek activities included Greek cabinet vice presidents, Fraternity little sister programs and intramurals. Chi Omega was also an active participant in Homecoming. For the second year in a row, Chi Omega has won the Young Alumni Spirit award and the Homecoming Sweepstakes as well as well as having sisters on the Homecoming court. Scholarship and community services were stressed at Chi Omega. Many of our sisters have been members of the honors program and have appeared on the dean's list on several ocassions. Our annual fundraiser is The Best of Texas Market, which is held at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The proceeds of this event go to our local philanthropy, The Center for the Re- tarded.-Leslie Heintz Chi Omega ~4&~ 243
