Transcript /f s students entering into our t-^*' college years we found ourselves on a journey muck like that of Dorothy's in The Wizard of Oz. U of H, like the Emerald City offered, many opportunities for students journeying down that yellowbrick road a chance to make friendships that would hopefully last a lifetime. The various campus organizations offered students a sample of every religious, ethnic, musical, political, professional, and scftofastic groups from which to chose. In cftoosiruj an organization students looked for a group that could offer them the opportunity to meet new friends who shared the same interest in and out of the scfiooC Getting involved and making new friends helped students make college a rewarding experience. -Thao Vuong unior Varsity Cheer- Gf leader, Almira Montil- ^ lo, jumps high as the Cougars score. The cheerleaders showed their spirit for the Cougars at all sporting events. . .228 - n an attempt to recruit more members, the Chinese Student Association set up a table inside of the University Center. . .200 aS ^ m* -2 -x $ i3F^M ^ ** ft ,i ■* m - (wt Ijray v-eafl i*lk m % ■ he Cuban-American ^y Student Association serves their delicacies at the International Food Fair in the spring. Many students sampled their dishes. . .204 he International Food Fair attracts students from all walks of life. This year many different organizations set up tables and sold their dishes to hungary students. The event is a fundraiser for all of the organizations who participate.
