Packing Up A Year's Worth Of Experiences
Waiting, waiting, minutes past
and still not a sound. A finger lightly taps the down button. The
flourescent down arrow glares silently at the figure before it.
Another push, and another, the
impatient finger presses vigorously
against the light. Finally the light
gives in and a bell rings.
The metal jaws of the elevator
creaks open as the student gathers
his belongings and stares at the elevator in disbelief.
The students in the sardine
packed like elevator laughs back at
the waiting student. The doors
clamp together and the wait starts
"The elevators are a thrill a minute, it's even more fun when only
one of the elevators are working!''
said Towers resident Deana Stell.
This was only one of the numerous problems that resident's faced
during the moving out process. Although moving out was a strenuous
task for most residents, this process
was also a time for residents to look
back on past experiences, and wave
goodbye to good friends and good
times. -Thao Vuong.
