Transcript $ w W Cre CP Spirit Spread With The Call Of The Wild UH may not have a live animal mascot, but there were plenty of creatures running around campus. Bleacher Creatures that is. What's a Bleacher Creature? A large group, primarily residents who took special pleasure in supporting the Cougar football team in vociferous fashion. It was easy to spot this special group, and to join them. This group of folks were found in the Astrodome parking lot before the Temple ballgame sitting on tailgates with painted faces. What's on their faces? "Anything in red and white you want to put on your face. The only requisite for membership is a desire to support the Cougars," said Bleacher Creature Mike Baker. "And you don't have to paint your face either, unless you want to of course," said Baker. Presently there are 600 Bleacher Creatures, with 150 true diehards Baker said. So anybody wanting to be a Creature, look for the red- faced people partying in the parking lot — after all, everyone has a Crea- J ture within ready to escape.-Mike De La Cruz HEAR THEM ROAR.Bleacher Creatures rise to their feet in support for the Cougars.
