Catherine, a student athlete from Sydney, Australia,
is a junior studying chemical engineering. She
came to UH after being recruited for the track team.
"I like UH. It's good. I have the balance of both
athletics and academics," she said.
Although she lives off-campus now, she lived in the
residence halls during her first year.
"It's (living on campus) good to meet people. I still have
a lot of friends from the residence halls."
However, she now enjoys living 5 minutes from campus.
"The best thing is more privacy, you can cook, have
parties, and do your own thing, and during the holidays,
you don't have to find a place to live," she said. -Kevin
Catherine said the worst thing about coming here was everyone asking
about her accent and where she was from. She called it "annoying."
