Transcript j| ake identification was a popular topic of conversation for people under 21. Many students voiced their opinion; however, the students interviewed for this article wanted to remain anonymous for their "legal safety." "Why should I be kicked out of clubs because I'm not 21, when I am old enough to vote, work, get married, and have kids? It would be nice to receive the respect that I deserve once in a while." One student was willing to tell where to get a fake I.D. and how much they cost. "In a little flea market in the area, they sell I.D.'s for about $50." A salesperson at this fleamarket said, "We're busy. We have to hide alot, because selling fake I.D.'s is a federal offense. But hey, why not do it? It's a big commodity. Students want to have a life. We want their money. It works out great. Sometimes we have to turn down someone because they really do look too young. But then, some 15 year olds look like they're 21." Some students did not go to all the trouble of buying a fake I.D. One student said, "I'm just lucky that I have friends that are older than I am, and that we look a lot alike." Other students passed their old I.D.'s down to their friends. "You can't really tell that it's not the same person, because they're such bad pictures. Even though it is a federal offense, students agreed that they would all continue to use fake I.D., at least until the drinking age is changed. -Kathryn Giansanti r\ ance clubs are the most popular in attendance '^ for students.P/ioto by Tony Bullard. ancing with a partner is always better than dancing aioncPhoto by Tony Bullard.
