Transcript Sparks HONORARY SPARKS EXECUTIVE COUNCIL: Seated: Melinda McDaniel, treas.; Carmen Stallings, pres.; Sue Friedman, vice pres.; Marilyn Holub, sec. Standing: Pan Purdy, Sabra Hall, Penny Dunham. Sparks Promote Spirit Dedicated to promoting school spirit and service to UH, Sparks endeavors to promote support of all* campus activities. Service is exhibited in varied ways, such as ushering for the NASA Press Conference, hostessing for the Alumni Association Homecoming Style Show, hostessing for Cougar Club and ushering for the lecture series. Membership in Sparks is based on grades, leadership and activities. One of the primary activities of Sparks is assisting with pep rallies and the flash card section. Sparks shared responsibilities for both activities, as well as responsibility for the cheerleader tryouts. Sparks traditionally awards a Spirit Award to a campus organization, based upon service to the university and promotion of school spirit and loyalty. The recipient this year was the Newman Club. MEMBERS: First Row: Brenda Thomas, Frances Gaudiano, Beverly Wilson. Second Row: Brenda Buest, Annette Atkinson, Frances Brownlee. Third Row: Reida Sivley, Donna Jeanfreau, Kay Brendel. MEMBERS: Denise Boudreaux, Noel Joseph, Diane Hensley, Joyce Simpson, Renee Brous- sard, Ruth Bravenec, Margo Farrer, Taffy Lamping, Ban Bodden, Jean Rose Gregory, Judy Mathews, Sharon Land- holm and Lil Dows.
