The society concentrates on the advancement and dissemination of knowledge of the theory and practice of mechanical engineering, on the presentation
of a proper perspective of the engineering field and on acquainting members
with the professional personnel in the

through various field trips, dinner meetings and a Spring formal.
The society also sponsors a technical
paper contest for seniors.

education and well-being of children.

and practices in the schools, raising the
standard of preparation of teachers and

a report from delegates to the International Study Conference in Washington,
D.C., a Spring banquet honoring student
teachers and a program on "Helping
Children Develop Individual Talents" at
South Shaver Elementary School in Pasadena.
