In addition a toy hospital was established at Christmas for poor children, and a Thanksgiving breakfast was held at Second Baptist Church. Representatives were sent to the Southwide Retreat at Ridgecrest, North Carolina, and the Southern Convention at Memphis, Tennessee. Two retreats were held during the year at Casa del Mar on the bay, and an installation banquet was given for the new Council.
