International Students' Organization Outstanding among the 1964-65 events of the International Students' Organization were the International Ball and International Student Night at the University Festival. Promotion of better relations and stronger ties between international students and Americans were the major projects of this organization. All efforts centered around the clear presentation of the cultures, history, problems, and aspirations of the University of Houston's international students. Young Democrats The 1964 Democratic campaign provided many activities for the University of Houston Young Democrats' Club. To encourage voting, the YD's were assigned certain precincts to cover during the campaign and canvassed them by telephone and personal interviews.
