Cougars Cause Famine in Idaho Roll to 7th Win What seemed a mismatch on paper, was a gross understatement on Astro- turf. Idaho's Vandals came to town with a young team and they left with a 77-6 defeat to learn from. The Cougars made no bones about winning as the offensive line ripped gaping holes in the Vandal defensive line. Gipson, McVea, Nordgren, and Bell rolled up most of the over 500 yards on the ground and the defense kept Idaho in their end of the field most of the night. Totaling 49 points in the first half the first unit left the rest of the scoring and playing to the second unit heroes of the practice field. 173
