One-two-three-four...Those are the Cul- len rifles, known as one of the outstanding marching unites in the Southwest - from the University's ROTC. The Reserve Officers Training Corps began training future Quartermaster Officers at the University on July 1, 1948. The ROTC's objective is to qualify students to become commissioned officers in the military service of the United States in times of national emergency. It also as- sists the University by offering practical training in organization, leadership, and discipline, which will be of value to students who desire an industrial as well as professional career. 247
