Transcript JOURNALISM FACULTY - Left to right: Mr. N. S. Patterson, Director of the School of Journalism and Graphic Arts; and Mr. Palmer. of the School of Journalism and Graphic Arts, ana SCHOOL of JOURNALISM and GRAPHIC ARTS The University of Houston has been selected as host school for the Southwestern Journalism Congress for 1953. Director N. S. Patterson was named president of the group for the coming year, and Robert Hollis was named president of the student division. The School of Journalism offers a wide range of courses leading toward degrees—editorial journalism, feature article writing, magazine editing, radio journalism, photography, printing, graphic arts management, and public relations. The director edits a national magazine, Photolith Yearbook, only publication in the country for yearbook staffs and sponsors. Other faculty members and students have contributed articles to this magazine this year. The School of Journalism supervises the University Press, which originally was the gift of Mr. R. E. Smith. It also directs the Cougar and the Houstonian. GRAPHIC ARTS FACULTY - Left to right: Mr. Taylor, Mr. Burnham.
