Transcript Language Department No one can say that the University does not have a variety of languages Students can be heard speaking Chinese, Chech, French, German Italian, Russian and Spanish. These are just a few of the ninety courses offered by the foreign language department, directed by Dr. Louis Kestenberg. Chairman, Division of l»o English Department Communication arts, a new English course for freshmen, now offers speech making, writing, reading and grammar all in one year. The course was first introduced at the University this fall. To obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, a student must have completed twenty-four advanced hours in English and a minimum of twelve hours of a foreign language, plus other B.A. requirements.
