JIM BINGER Samurai, the interfraternal council, governs all social fraternities at the University and now has seven members. Fraternity members of Samurai are Cavaliers, Delta Theta, Gan Bey, Kappa Delta Kappa, Phi Delta Tau, Sigma Alpha Chi, and Usonians. Petitioning organizations include Alpha Delta Psi, Alpha Kappa Pi, Alpha Sigma Tau, Rho Beta, and Tau Kappa Sigma. Samurai is composed of the chairman and two members from each fraternity. A new chairman is selected each semester. Main functions of Samurai are regulation of rush season among all social fraternities, and participation in sports attendance, student government, social functions, and Frontier Fiesta. Samurai offers an intramural program in football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and track. Rush rules and regulations concerning fraternity members are set up and enforced by the governing council. 172
