L. STANDLEE MITCHELL As well as being the oldest fraternity on the campus, Sigma Alpha Chi can now boast of receiving the 1952 Cougar School Spirit Trophy for most outstanding student organization. Sigma Alpha Chi's 1951 Homecoming Float claimed first place. Crow's Nest Saloon in Frontier Fiesta also added to the fraternity's fame with fifth place in production. Another social highlight was the annual Sweetheart Ball. Other events included the annual Christmas Bid Dance at Blossom Heath, and the annual open house for members' parents. Members of SAC fraternity were finalists in interfraternal football this year, having participated in all Samurai intramural sports. Sigma Alpha Chi was organized in 1945 by 12 charter members.
