It was founded in 1947 with the purpose of promoting service and friendship to the students, faculty and national citizens. Yearly activities include building the bonfire for Homecoming, forming the Cougar Guard, publishing the student directory, distributing programs at major athletic events, and producing the Bayou Queen in the Frontier Fiesta. 98
