Transcript Paula Beggs Jane Cline SIGMA PHI MU OFFICERS President .— Elaine Wagner Vice President Caryl Trisler Recording Secretary Paula Beggs Corresponding Secretary Gail Henderson Treasurer Sue Payne Parliamentarian Judy Johnson Rush Captains Marilyn Eiland Joyce Lesky Chaplain Nancy Trice Sponsor Mrs. Bessie Ebaugh On December 3, 1950, Sigma Phi Mu sorority had its first official meeting. At this time the purposes and aims of the sorority were established and the group began functioning. Included in the aims and purposes set forth in the constitution of the group are the promotion of a spirit of democracy among students, and encouragement of participation in University activities. Mid-term rush activities included a coke party, a ranch style brunch, and a tea. Members participated in Varsity Varieties and this year the sorority combined forces with Delta Theta fraternity and produced the show, "Stars and Bars," in Frontier Fiesta.
