Phi Delta Tau fraternity was founded in January of 1950, by a group of 36 charter members with the purpose of promoting brotherhood, raising school spirit, and improving scholastic standards. In addition to their regular rush parties and socials, Phi Tau holds an annual spring formal, sponsors a Founders day banquet, and takes an active part in Frontier Fiesta and Homecoming. Phi Tau moved into their present fraternity house in September of 1950, and has accommodations for 20 members. The house includes four bedrooms, a study and rumpus room. Phi Tau has members from 14 different states as well as from Houston.
