COUGAR COLLEGIANS President Ida Lou Blair Vice President Marilyn Mounts Recording Secretary Meg Butler Corresponding Secretary Shirley Tyson Treasurer _ Patsy Hessemer Parliamentarian Mary Angela Saragusa Official hostesses of the University, the Cougar Collegians, founded in 1928, is regarded as the oldest girls organization on the campus. Having proved itself as being one of the most outstanding service groups, its objects are to create a feeling of good fellowship among the student body, uphold high standards, promote interest in other clubs, and develop college spirit. Aside from candy sales on the campus, the main project of the club for the past year was sponsoring a get-acquainted" program between coeds who live in the University dorms and those who make Houston their permanent home. 86
