Fourth place show in Frontier Fiesta, second place in Fiesta parade floats, and one of the top ten acts were major campus achievements. Claiming the largest student organization on the campus, the Society participates in enrollment and registration activities. Ushering during Career Day is an important service rendered to the University. Dedicated to betterment of relations between engineering students and surrounding industries since started in 1938, the Society has steadily increased the prestige of University of Houston engineering graduates. The Society is a Junior chapter of the "Texas Society of Professional Engineers" and supports a broad program of social and scholastic activities. 184
