SHIRLEY SMITH LYNDA SMITH Treasurer LYNDA SMITH DORIS LINGNAU Historian DORIS LINGNAU LADDIE LESIKAR Reporter LADDIE LESIKAR Representing the University of Houston at the Gamma Sigma Sigma national convention in New York City signaled steady progress for the sorority. Sponsorship of "Hop-A-Long Inn" at Fiesta and a Christmas dance were high points in Gamma Sigma Sigma's local activity. However, selling of Christmas and Easter seals and fixing holiday food baskets for the needy were indicative of the sorority's desire to be of service. Organized as a service organization, Gamma Sigma Sigma continues to work diligently in the field of campus service. The membership is for any service duties that may be needed on the campus. Since its first meeting in 1947, the sorority has worked toward objectives parallel to those of Alpha Phi Omega, the University's male service group. a^ Nancy Batchelor Dorothy Beard Bobbie Jean Cornett Margaret Cullom Yvonne Grantham Elizabeth Hoke 138
