Machine Tool and Industrial Supplies HOUSTON THE NORMANDIE RESTAURANT "La Joie De Vivre" The Normandie Restaurant, Houston's most recent addition to its fine selection of restaurants, is located at 1007 Main Street. Designed and patterned after the great ship Normandie, the Normandie Restaurant's luxurious dining room, seating 275, with its blending of rich furnishings and lovely colors will surround you with beauty and charm for an evening of enjoyable dining. If you prefer, you may also dine in the lower deck lounge, also patterned after the ship Normandie. Here you will dine under soft lights and beautiful murals of the French Riviera. Two murals in the main dining room, painted by Martin Zieg- ner, are replicas of sculptured works which adorned the smoking room of the famous ship. Also, two statues are duplicates of those which flanked the entrance to the liner's Grand Salon. Private dining room with a seating capacity up to 220 is available for your private parties. The exclusive Club Normandie, with its beautiful decor, is located on the lower level. A staff of fifteen chefs, headed by the famous Normandie chef, is prepared to serve types of dishes, from French cuisine to hearty European and American specialties. Our French pastries are known from coast to coast. For your evening meals, an attendant will take your car, at the curb, and park it for you without cost.
