Transcript Steve Mayeux Receive Honorary Mayor Badge at the Annual Fiesta Bat.B.? in Fiesta City, Texas A. J. Montalbano, Fiesta Chairman, presents Stevie with a complete frontier outfit. Each year the children from Hedgecroft and Jefferson Davis hospitals take over the Fiesta City for one night. From among their ranks they elect the year's Honorary Mayor of Fiesta. Steve Mayeux served as mayor for 1956. He received a complete western outfit and a shiny new badge exactly like the ones worn by Fiesta officials. Racehorse Haynes in a rare silent mood as Steve becomes mayor. The Hooper Twins sing a frat theme-song, "He's In The Jailhouse Now." The barbecue is made possible by the business men of Houston who supply meat and the services needed to prepare and serve it. The helping of small handicapped youngsters is one of the really big things that make Frontier Fiesta "the greatest college show on earth." The tiny faces glow as they turn to watch a "real honest-to-goodness cowboy" pass. For a minute little legs are forgotten. Free chow for everybody and the lines form. A birdseye view of stuffed cowpokes. 279
