Transcript Kappa Alpha Order . Kappa Alpha was founded at Washington College in 1865, during Robert E. Lee's first term as president of the college. The present badge consists of one gold shield superimposed upon another; it has a Greek cross of gold within the circle and above are the letters "KA" in gold on a black field. The colors are crimson and old gold; the flowers the magnolia and the red rose. Lambda Chi Alpha . . . Lambda Chi Alpha, a fraternity based on democratic and progressive principles, was founded at Boston University in 1909. The fraternity sponsors an inter-chapter competition, called the Tetrathlon, based on scholarship, morale, achievement in campus activities and internal organization. Phi Epsilon Pi Founded at the College of the City of New York in 1904, the fraternity of Phi Epsilon Pi seeks to promote a love for higher learning and close friendship, to cultivate a spirit of unselfish fellowship, and to exert throughout life an influence tending to more manly character, higher idealism, and tolerance of mind and spirit inspired of universal brotherhood. 150
