Transcript College of Business Administration Dr. Charles F. Jones, dean; Betsy Gelb, assistant dean; Dr. Robert Lawless, associate dean. The complications of a growing systematic industrialized society demand career business people capable of making the right decisions. The College of Business Administration at the University of Houston offers such a program, which prepares the student for decision making in private firms and public organizations, in research, in analysis and consulting, and in teaching. The College contains six academic departments — Accounting, Behavioral Management Science, Finance, Marketing, Production-Logistics Management, and Quantitative Management Science — and two centers for advanced study and research — the Center for Human Resources and the Management Development Center, which offers an Executive Development Program, new programs such as a computerized workshop on financial strategy and control, and courses designed for association, industries, and individual companies. 217
