Transcript College of Architecture Imprinted upon the Houston horizon lay the influence of the architect. He, through his designing, planning, and building, has created man's physical home, and at the University of Houston College of Architecture the student is able to study and prepare for such a career. Study at the University of Houston College of Architecture entails a five-year program, comprised of a curriculum of coordination, planning, economics, as well as the traditional fields. Of a required I 64 semester hours the student needs to complete 94 hours in architectural courses, of which 65 must be advanced level. The remaining hours should include 36 in counseled electives. The final year of study offers a Planning option whereby the student may concentrate on urban problems. The College of Architecture members in the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture and the Architectural Registration Boards, and is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board. 216
