Transcript DEDICATION a The dreams and deeds of Harvey W. Harris in no small measure have helped in the building of the University of Houston since its establishment as a Junior College in 1927. An instructor in speech until his retirement due to ill health this year, his friendly smile, untiring zeal, and helpful encouragement have been a living example to all who have been fortunate enough to come under his guidance. A great lover of Texas and all it stands for. this man-in-boots organized the Buckaroo Riding Club and the Square Dance Club, both so typically Texan that at times campus life truly breathed the atmosphere of die old west. His memory and influence will live long in the future of this University. With loving affection, a deep sense of gratitude and an everlasting devotion, we, the staff, dedicate this 1947 Houstonian to Harvey \Y. Harris.
