Transcript scott street stops STUDENTS ALWAYS HAVE SOME CONNECTION UH students are familiar with Scolt Street for the convenient stops along its strip. With its origin on the infamous Scott Street, Frenchy's Chicken corrals the community. Crowds flock to the restaurant and sometimes form lines that wrap around the block just to taste the homestyle chicken. Students often visit the Subway located on the corner of Wheeler and Scott to take advantage of the specials offered for the students of University of Houston. Fast food joints and various eateries are appropriately located near the university's sporting arenas for those students who want to grab a bite before games. Different places such as Popeyes, Steve's Cafe, Navy Seafood, Burger King and Wendy's provided quality and quick foods for students. Instead of traveling ten or twenty miles for a restaurant, students walked to these establishments between classes. Offering delights from food to church, Scott Street provided an area for students who were either in a hurry or who lived on campus without the luxury of a vehicle.
