Transcript ^jriadkback. . 1940 In the year 1940, Editor Guy Hamilton and Business Manager Paul Sterne dedicated their Houstonian to the University of Houston, Present and Future, and Hitler bloodlessly occupied Denmark and Norway to prevent Allied aggression . . . Seventy-five graduates were represented in the senior section of the annual . . . The Cougar ended an era with an editorial revolution, and a new editor was appointed . . . The first Frontier Fiesta was held in 1939 after postponement because of rain . . . the Buckaroos sold Fat Stock Show tickets and gave a comic strip dance that year . . . And 1940 snow covered the campus, as shown above, causing a mild sensation and setting mid-term exam-time awry . . . Roosevelt closed the year by being elected President for a precedent-shattering third term.
