Transcript THE COMMUNIST MANIFESTO By MARX and ENGELS THE CIVIL WAR IN FRANCE By KARL MARX These two famous works, bound together in one handy volume, are indispensable to the student of Marxism. In fact without a knowledge of the Communist Manifesto, no man can be well informed on modern history. Marx's lesser known work, "The Civil War in France", is a corollary to the Manifesto, showing how its principles were applied by the workers of Paris, when for a brief time they grasped political power, and broke new ground in the development of the struggle of the workers against capitalism. Lenin in his now famous works has quoted at length from this famous eulogy of Marx on the Paris Communards of 1871. It is a classic that will repay careful study. Together in a volume of 140 pages, cloth, 60 cents, also separately in paper, the Communist Manifesto at 10c; The Civil War in France at 25c. CHARLES H. KERR & COMPANY 341 East Ohio Street ....
