Quin, City. Lly clear Judge Quin; To the end that my friends and I may be in a position intelligently to select the candidates that we are to support in the approaching municipal election, we should like to know whether if elected you would be willing to do the following thinr: : 1. Introduce and support an Anti-Race-Hatred ordinance making it unlawful for any person to incite racial prejudices and animosities by unduly discriminating against persons of Caucasian extraction in restaurants, barber shops, theaters, dance halls, swimming pools, skating rinks and other public places. 2. Give to San Antonio1s citizenry of Mexican descent proportional representation in your Department and assist us in our efforts to obtain proportional representation in the other Departments of our City Government; said representation to extend to and include high, responsibla key positions. 3. Cooperate with all the law enforcement agencies of Bexar County with a view of either abolishing the so-called "Red Lipht District11 or removing same from its present location its order that it may cease to be a social menace to our school children and our youth generally and a stigma to the inhabitants of the vie stern Section of our City. 4. Do everything in your power to promote the progress and general welfare of all of San Antonio1s citizens and taxpayers, without regard to race, color or creed. A prompt reply in writing will be appreciated. Sincerely yours, CIju^^ € th% S/~*^tU*tZ}
