Transcript No.2 Mr Perales•. -crave a square deal. I could go on telling you many things that would make your blood boil,to hear so many injustices in this land of the free, but prefer to tell them to you when Almighty God gives me the chance to see you. The Alliance of Mexican and Mexican-American Societes is an old Idea tha dates back to the 70fs,but it remained to Ignacio J.Mendiola , to put it into effect, 10 Societes compromising nearly 2000 members and their families, and believe me we have a large field to work in and our Ideal is the uplifting of our race,to help them in time of need,to make them understand that the laws of this great country must be obeyed, and oh,so many things. The officers are as follows Ignacio J.Mendiola President ( From La "Benevolencia") Guadalupe M.Baez Vice " (From La "Union") James Tafolla Secretary (tfrom "Sons of America") Jose C.Ramirez Sub " (From "Hijos de Mexico") Manuel C.Gonzalez Promoter of Laws (La "Benevolencia") Jose G.Shodts Treasurer (From "La Union") Manuel J.Morales Collector (From "Ignacio Allende") There are many other lesser officials, from the rest of the Societes< Well I spent my vacation last summer ir.' Monterrey Saltillo, and San Luis Potosi, I also visited the grave of my poor brother at Ocotlan Jalisco, wish that I could bring his body back to Texas, the state he loved. His last wish was,to be burled with his boots on When do you think you will return here? I presume you are still .in the employ of the Tacna-Arica Commission, are you not? What do you think of the (exchanges) between Kellog and Chiles? Hoping you will excuse my many mistakes, and wishing yourself and family a very Merry fXmas and a happy Prosperous 1'ew Year, I am as always - Yours Very Sincerely P.S. Gave your regards to V Tafolla, idar rot in town.
