Transcript Willis Feb 18th./78 Dear Son Gaston was here yesterday he has secured a house here Belonging to Mr Wood it is just above Doct Powels and a nice new place house fences & all are new, and good tho the house is rather small for so many. It has a nice rich spot for a gar- -den, out buildings sufficient. So soon as the riads will admit of moving Gas will bring in my things, (or some of them) and I will go there & take care of things as they can be sent in until the family can get here. Gaston will bring in a load in a few days in case it does not rain right away again. Can you continue to let me have twenty dollars pr. month, if so can you send me a Post office money order tomorrow for twelve dollars. I wish to pay for getting my things hauled out of that thicket and. And send me a barrel of the best Irish potatoes for planting. I will ------------------------------------------------------------- at Gastons suggestion, get a man to plant some for early , and also other things in case he is delayed by rain in moving in this week . I can take Ell & go there & superintend the planting of a few seed for early vegetables Sallie can leave all her furniture as Mrs Wood will let us have two bedsteads Bureau, Washstand, chairs & several tables that will enable us to get along very well until the ground drys up I feel anxious to get a little settled once more & to get what little I have together again. I may have to stay here sometime yet, will do so until it suits me to leave I told Gaston yesterday to hire a team to haul in my things as I know it will be a hard matter to get even what he is obliged to have of his own things brought in With best wishes & much love from your Mother Mary Jones
