Description This is a typewritten letter to Madam President from Ethel M. Smith, the Chairman of the Committee on Protection of Women's Labor, informing Madam President of the newly-formed Protection of Women's Labor department and its efforts to work with chambers of commerce and employers to get women equal rights for equal pay. Ethel M. Smith urges Madam President to spread the word of the new department's work by circulating her letter to other Board chapter presidents, discussing work vigilance committees, and including a proposed list of resolutions for the chamber of commerce to adopt to protect women's work rights.
