ROCK N RYE
As the band plays the overture "From this Moment
On," Kappa Alpha Order and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority
will launch a new and very different Rock *N' Rye show.
The largest crowds on the midway attended last year's
Rock W Rye production of the "Midget," a satire on
the movie "Giant." This year we present to you a "Giant,"
a giant in the musical world—a portrait in music. Music,
long the common language of the world, will be given a
new meaning on the stage of the all new "Rock 4N' Rye
Satire was long the by-word of the Rock 4N' Rye productions. Rudy Duran and Co., with their unmatched wit
and talent, brought fame and honors to Rock 4N' Rye for
many years. In 1954 the production "Strange" from the
movie "Shane" won second place honors for the show and
a top ten act award for the company. "Vera Crude" from
"Veracruz" was the 1955 production that again placed
Rudy Duran and Co. in the top ten act category. Rudy
Duran and Co. scored again in 1956 with the great production of "The Man with the Golden Elbow," winning a
top ten act award for the third straight year.
This year's production has been dedicated to you who
appreciate music, and it is our sincere desire that you will
enjoy every minute of the 1958 "Rock fcN' Rye in Hi-Fi."
