Any diversion that induces viviousness neither produces nor aids in producing, a good workman. Nature provides the foundation for the best recreation, and Nature has endowed Houston and its vicinity whith an abundance of recreational possibilities that are most helpful to the working man. Fresh and salt water fishing, hunting of many kinds of game-birds and animals, salt water aquatic sports, all at convenient locations, afford the healthiest sort of relaxation from labor, while playgrounds, parks, and recreational centers, provide delightful entertainment for the children.
