Transcript Living Archives Interview of Marguerite Johnston 2/13/96 *indicates words excluded because they were not understood I’m Elizabeth Gregory, Director of the Women’s Studies program at U of H, and this is the third of the interviews in this year’s subscription series sponsored by the communitY Outreach Association of the Women’s Studies Friends. This series aims to present, over the course of this year and the years to come, a sense of the complex history of women’s lives in Houston and the struggles and changes that have characterized the last few decades. This years interview format was developed as an extension of the program’s effort to open the women's archive at the University of Houston. The initial focus of this archive, which is now under construction on the 7th floor of U of H Library and is scheduled to open in September the initial focus will be on both oral histories of Texas women and the University of Houston area women’s organizations.
