Transcript OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT University of Houston 3801 CULLEN BOULEVARD HOUSTON 4. TEXAS April 26, I960 (n_ Miss Darnell I. Thomas LeMoyne College 807 Walker Avenue Memphis C, Tennessee Dear Miss Thomas: Your letter of March 29 relative to possible financial assistance has reached me* I hasten to reply. You may be aware of the fact that the University of Houston is in process of moving toward becoming tax supported. Until this move has been brought to fruition it is my guess that our Board will not proceed with desegregation plans. I suggest that meantime you should apply to the University of Texas, which offers graduate work in "Special Education," Please know that you have the best of wishes of this institution* Most sincerely yours, Clanton V• Williams President ekr
