Transcript Catalog sent from College of Engineering 8/7/56 In answer to my telephoned request. ekr August 7, 1956 Cpl. Aubrey L. Kennard 14797^5 USMC H&S Btry. 1st MAAM Bn. M.C.T.C, Twentynlne Palms, California Dear Corporal Kennard: Thank you for your recent inquiry tfhieh has been referred to me for reply. As you requested, we are sending under separate cover a catalog of our College of Engineering. In reply to your question about the Universityfs attitude toward Negro students, I must report that the matter of desegregation is currently a subject of serious study on the part of the University and its Board of Regents, To date no Negro has been admitted to the University of Houston- and it appears likely that desegregation at the graduate level will be preliminary to admission of undergraduate Negro students. Yours very truly, For Clanton W. Williams ekr
