Julia Howard Women's Center Announces Juried Women's Art Exhibition ' JThe Houston Area Women's Center, in honor of its 15th anniversary, will sponsor a juried women's art exhibition to be held at INNOVA, 20 Greenway Plaza, from November 5 - December 11, 1992. This showcase will provide an opportunity for female Houston-based artists to celebrate their diverse, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic experiences. The theme of the exhibition is "Assuming Less... Understanding More". The juried exhibition will be open to all woment 18 years and older who have resided in Houston at least one year. No entry fee is required. Six $250 prizes will be awarded. Jurors are Nivea Gonzales, visual artist, educator and Coca Cola's selection as one of the top ten Hispanic women in the country, Alvia Wardlaw, adjunct curator of the Dallas Museum of Art and Assistant Professor of Art at Texas Southern University, and Sally Sprout, director of the Transco gallery, curator of Transco's 19th and 20th Century Water col or Collection, and manager of Transco's Art Services Department.
